ADF Unity Ritual (9pm EDT) — open to all!
It is common at ADF Festivals to hold a Unity Ritual, wherein we ask the blessing of the Kindreds — the Ancestors, the Spirits of Nature, and the Shining Godden — and pour it into the Unity Cauldron, so it can flow to all Groves, Protogroves, and Solitaries of Ár nDraíocht Féin. Simultaneously, we share those blessings with all those present, so that we all may partake in the blessings of the Holy Ones.
This year, as we gather from across the globe, we will honor the Spirits of Technology as our Beings of the Occasion, our most-honored guest. The gods and spirits have, from time immemorial, blessed our human works for our benefit and theirs, and our modern time is no different. May the Spirits of Technology — of Efficiency, of Adaptability, of Connection — bless us throughout our festival.
Ritual will begin as promptly as possible at 9pm Eastern Daylight Time (UTC -4). The Zoom meeting will open at 8:30pm, with a short pre-ritual briefing just before ritual begins. While no ritual materials are required, we suggest that participants have with them at minimum a beverage of any sort, in which to receive the blessings of the Holy Ones. In addition, participants may want to have representations of the ADF Hallows (Fire, Well, and Tree); offerings for their personal patrons and allies; and offerings for the Spirits of Technology.
This ritual is free and open to the public, and does not require festival admission. We are, however, requiring registration through Zoom in order to maintain better security — go here to register to attend the Unity Ritual.

The Summerland 2020: New Beginnings will take place entirely virtually, using Zoom to bring us together. All times below are Eastern Daylight Time (UTC -4).
There will be five concurrent workshop sessions throughout the day, during which attendees are free to choose either of two presentations. In addition, Rev. Missy Ashton and Rev. William Ashton will give a presentation on building a culture of consent, which will run without a concurrent session, and which will be open to the public as a service to the community.

Bardic Night: 6:30pm
As is traditional at Summerland, we’ll end our day together with a night of bardry! Everyone is very welcome to participate, whether you’re a seasoned performer or an enthusiastic new creator — we would love for you to share your talents. We welcome performances of all kinds: music is of course welcome, but we would love to see your poems, stories, etc. We want it all!
We’ll be sending registrants a signup sheet, and depending on how the night goes we might continue with an ad hoc bardic circle. As long as the craic is good, we’ll keep going!
