Schedule of Workshops and Events

Summerland 2021: Solitude and Connection will take place entirely virtually, using Zoom to bring us together. All times below are Eastern Daylight Time (UTC -4).

Hospitality Room: 10am–7pm

Throughout the festival we will have a separate Zoom room open as our Hospitality Room.  This is a place to gather around our virtual fire and chat with other festival attendees.  There is no schedule here, simply a place to connect and chat throughout the weekend.

Bardic Night: 7pm

As is traditional at Summerland, we’ll end our day together with a night of bardry! Everyone is very welcome to participate, whether you’re a seasoned performer or an enthusiastic new creator — we would love for you to share your talents. We welcome performances of all kinds: music is of course welcome, but we would love to see your poems, stories, etc. We want it all!

Rather than soliciting signups beforehand, we’ll take turns in the moment as folks are inspired to offer something. How long will we stay gathered? As long as the craic is good, we’ll keep it going!

ADF Unity Ritual (5:30pm EDT) — open to all!

It is common at ADF Festivals to hold a Unity Ritual, wherein we ask the blessing of the Kindreds — the Ancestors, the Spirits of Nature, and the Shining Godden — and pour it into the Unity Cauldron, so it can flow to all Groves, Protogroves, and Solitaries of Ár nDraíocht Féin. Simultaneously, we share those blessings with all those present, so that we all may partake in the blessings of the Holy Ones.

Ritual will begin as promptly as possible at 5:30pm Eastern Daylight Time (UTC -4). The Zoom meeting will open at 5pm, with a short pre-ritual briefing just before ritual begins. While no ritual materials are required, we suggest that participants have with them at minimum a beverage of any sort, in which to receive the blessings of the Holy Ones. In addition, participants may want to have representations of the ADF Hallows (Fire, Well, and Tree) and offerings for their personal patrons and allies.

This ritual is free and open to the public, and does not require festival admission. We are, however, requiring registration through Zoom in order to maintain better security — go here to register to attend the Unity Ritual.
